Varsity Head Coach: Chantay Schustedt
This is Coach Tay’s first season as the head varsity coach but she is not stranger to the program. Coach Tay has been in and around DC volleyball for going into her 4th year working as the girls JV coach and strength & conditioning coach in previous seasons. She has also assisted previous coaches from the varsity boys and girls program. Tay raises the competitiveness as a program with her mantra of “effort and attitude”. She has a competitive spirit wanting to increase wins and develop athletes athletically and mentally. Outside of volleyball Chantay loves her family and a good work out. You can find her at many of the basketball games at DC cheering on her own athletes.
Varsity Assist: Lena Madden
Lena and Tay have worked alongside of each other for multiple seasons now creating an atmosphere and culture that is competitive, fun, and safe. Lena is a retired D1 outside hitter she raises the standards of athletes by increasing expectations within themselves. Lena is also a proud mom and you can often find her running around the gyn chasing her littles as they love hanging out with the athletes. Got to start ’em young with the fundamentals.

Chantay is a familiar face in the DC Volleyball Program as she has served in several coaching roles across both the girls and boys programs for the last 3 years. We are excited to see how Chantay brings her vision for development, with a focus on building consistency, strengthening fundamentals, and pushing the program forward in a competitive direction, while also continuing to build strong relationships with all athletes in the volleyball program.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Tay!
